Lizzie and Michael have a classic, timeless style. Lizzie looked like a princess in her gorgeous gown and Michael looked equally as sharp in his handsome tux. They choose a delicate purple color palette, absolutely perfect for the spring season.
The first few warm days of spring are some of my favorites of the year. I absolutely love spring weddings and the joy they bring after a slow, cold winter season. This year, I took January and February off entirely, and so I was very ready to get back to shooting weddings by the beginning of March!
A little bit about the Salitas: this sweet couple started dating in high school, and now, nearly 8 years later, they are married. There is an added level of excitement with couples who have been together for so long, particularly high school sweethearts. It was a beautiful thing to see the ways their families had come to know one another over the years, as well as the ways they worked to make the day so meaningful.
One thing I loved, in particular, was all the ways Lizzie and Michael and their families filled the day with sentimental moments. Lizzie wore a beautiful ring to the wedding, originally gifted to Michael’s mother the day he was born. Lizzie also wore a classic fur stole, which I was absolutely amazed to find belonged to her grandmother.
This was truly a day filled with joy, and I’m so happy for the new Mr. & Mrs. Salita! Congratulations, you two!
