This sunny spring engagement session at the Jefferson Memorial with a pop of pink was photographed by Hannah Bjorndal Photography on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Sunny, warm and finally spring! These are the words that came to mind as we began Ashley & Geoff’s engagement session on Tuesday! This sweet couple found me through one of my past bride’s, Vada Snedden, and I am so thankful she connected us! How beautiful are they?!

Ashley & Geoff met me bright & early at 6:15am at the Jefferson Memorial! Sunrise is by far the best time for photos at any of the Washington, D.C. monuments & memorials, and it is always amazing to me how couples can look SO GOOD so early! So thankful for their willingness to meet so early. It was so worth it! Other than a stray runner here and there, we had the entire place to ourselves.

Choosing colors & outfits for your engagement session can be so hard, because there are so many options! Ashley’s pink dress was the PERFECT pop of color for the white marble backdrop of the Jefferson Memorial. And it was also perfect for the season! With the trees in bloom all around us, the colors worked perfectly!

Everything was glowing. The white marble of the monument turns the most beautiful colors at sunrise! Sun was wrapping around Ashley & Geoff in the most perfect way everywhere we went! As the session went on, I got more and more excited about these beautiful photos!

So very excited to share them with you now!

Geoff & Ashley, thank you so much for inviting me to be your engagement photographer! It was such a delight to work with you two!
