What comes to mind when you hear the word sales? I’m going to guess you’ve thought about it (at least a little bit) since you’re here listening to this podcast! However, I’m also going to guess that you have some preconceived notions that come to mind when you hear the word “sales.” Maybe it’s an extreme – the sleazy used car salesman who manipulates, lies and will do anything to make that sales. Again, since you’re here, I am going to guess that’s not the only thing that comes to mind. Maybe you think of that Facebook “friend” (the one you barely know) who suddenly starts showing up in your DMs trying to get you to join their MLM company. Or maybe it’s that really persistent salesperson that keeps calling you and is getting on your nerves. Or maybe you’re picturing a personal friend – the one that is super-extraverted and is a salesman for a big company. Whatever your picture that comes to mind, it’s probably not of YOURSELF.
Today, I want to change that. I spent a past career as a saleswoman. I took that information and combined it with my background in communications and psychology to build a thriving 6-figure business. Having a great sales strategy is at the core of a successful business, but you need to know what sales IS . . . and is NOT, before applying strategies to your business.
