In 2015, I photographed my first wedding. Roughly 6 months later, I had successfully replaced my salaried 9-5 corporate job in advertising sales. I made wedding photography my full-time job in the highly competitive Washington, D.C. metro area. Since that time, I've grown my team to include 3 lead photographers, mentored over 25 creative entrepreneurs, traveled the world to photograph weddings, and consistently bring home an annual 6-figure income.




Here's the part of the story that's missing: By 2018, I was incredibly burnt out by chasing other people's dreams. Making a lot of money and being my own boss looked like "the dream" from the outside, but I was incredibly unhappy and unfulfilled. The worst part? I couldn't admit this to myself, let alone anyone else. I was living the dream, right?

In 2019, I was fed up. Something needed to change. I took a step back. I started thinking more strategically. I started working with a business coach. I let go of all the "shoulds."




My 6-figure "success story" wasn't what it seemed. Actually, it wasn't success at all because I wasn't living my best and most fulfilled life. After some major soul-searching, I completely changed my outlook on business and, as a result, reclaimed my life.
